PEW stands for personal edged weapon. Most coatings cannot be put on blades that have bolsters so we started work on a bolsterless PEW knife designed to take various coatings and also be affordable. Note the thumb indent at the front of the handle scales. The powder coat on this prototype is an overseas nation camouflage intended by the coating factory to showcase their talents to us. It is smooth and, in our opinion, glossy. If you want unique, this camo pattern is it! We felt one pinpoint pit on the powder coat, have reduced the price accordingly but do not consider this knife a second. The knife features a Yagyu Clan Fat Nose tip. This ancient Japanese design enhances bleed-out. The cutting edge is slightly recurved for improved slicing and cutting. The tang is heavily tapered to provide an optimal combat point of balance. The quillons extend down to create a secure grip typically reserved for our military designs. There is gimping on both sides of the raised thumb rest, at the index and pinky finger, and the reverse grip extended thumb position for improved control. It includes a glass breaker located to permit a reverse grip with thumb on the butt.
