Sheath: You will get left and right black leather sheaths, each with a retainer strap. These are made of thick leather and very sturdy (as opposed to a traditional historical soft and floppy sheath). Do not store swords in leather sheaths long term because the chemicals in leather can corrode/tarnish metal.

Maker: Swords made by Forge Master K. Ali at M/S Ironman Steel at his family-owned Blacksmithy established 1968 in Pakistan. He is the third generation and, in our opinion, the foremost maker of high-end butterfly swords in the world. All sheaths, scabbards and soft cases are outsourced.
Description: Modell Design LLC began work on this design in 2020. It is now in limited production and their favorite Wing Chun knife design due to its efficiency and beauty. These knives are a great balance of combat-grade, good weight for training and tournaments, and aesthetics. The blunt swage strengthens the tip and improves the architecture for stabbing. The forward cutting-edge belly, inspired by the Loveless Chute Knife design, facilitates chopping and slicing. Fullers and a wide hollow grind add interest. The PD10 has an ergonomic handle with a taller vertical profile (width as opposed to handle thickness) at the index and pinky finger points than on antique butterfly swords. A number clients prefer this for greater comfort and feel it makes retention easier during heavy impacts. The rear of the handle slants down to deal with the bifurcated nature of the fatty areas of the palms. On a perfectly horizontal handle the rear of palm pushes down on the rear of the handle, forcing the tip up and/or additional strain on the wrist to pressure the blade back to horizontal.
We have classified these knives as seconds for cosmetic reasons all of which are disclosed in the photos. The knives shown are what you will get so if you have any questions ask them before ordering.
