This knife is a unique work of art. It took a year and a half to make. The knife started out as a 10 mm thick piece of Böhler D2 Carbon Tool Steel and became an 8 mm thick differentially heat treated integral knife with copper inlay and slotted blank (in the handle). The swage is not sharpened.
Both the D2 and the copper are heavily engraved. The copper features animals and birds. Yes, that's right, engraved D2; we challenge you to try finding a talented engraver willing and able to do this work.
The knife will include a certificate signed by Forge Master K. Ali and, upon request, a full resolution transmission of the professional photograph by Caleb Royer of the knife shown below.
