Product is a hand made knife.  All measurements and weights approximate.
This is the Forge Master's personal dagger design, a variation on the traditional Bob Loveless Dagger.  The lip of the quillon is wider.  The handle tapers more dramatically and the butt flare is very pronounced.  It looks like an up-side down Coca Cola(R) bottle.  The handle scales are made of what is technically a Maroon Micarta(TM) or the generic equivalent but it looks Brown to us.  Micarta(TM) is phenolic resin with filler layers of paper, linen or canvass.  Small variations and imperfections happen.  There is a pin-head linen-color dot and a small darker spot on the logo-side scale near the hilt, too the right (see photo, knife priced accordingly).  The knife in the photos is the knife you will get.   The blade is see-yourself glossy finish Böhler D2 Carbon Tool Steel professionally tempered to HRC 58.  D2 is recognized by many top knife makers as the best carbon steel for knives.  The hilt is made of AISI 304 stainless steel, the best material for bolsters but seldom used by even top custom knife makers due to the difficulty of working with it.  Value added features include a tapered tang with red liners, a steel cylinder-lined lanyard hole and brass/steel Loveless Bolts.

This is a magnificent knife both from a looks standpoint and because it feels great in the hand.  As far as we know, he made three (we have two).  We anticipate he will cease making this specific design and change over to the original Bob Loveless design in the future.  Do not miss out on the opportunity to get it at this extremely fair price.

Things to Consider Before Ordering:

1) Check with your local laws to determine the legality of all items ordered. Seller is not responsible for any items seized by customs or other authorities and will not knowingly make shipments to countries where any items are illegal. By placing an order, you are representing that you are an adult, the product(s) ordered are lawful in your local jurisdiction and that you will use the products in compliance with all applicable laws. You accept full responsibility and costs for all customs fees and VAT. Seller will not replace or refund any item confiscated by local authorities or customs agents.

2) These are handmade. There will be slight imperfections on most handmade work commensurate with its pricing. Mr. Ali's highest quality/grade/difficulty knives generally sell for $300 to $500 through other venues with Collector Grade Butterfly Sword pairs selling for up to $1,595. All measurements are approximate. Blade lengths were measured from the border with the bolster/hilt to the tip including any ricasso/choil where it is within that defined area.

3) Plain Language Disclaimer: Knives are inherently dangerous. Glass breakers are also very dangerous to the user and should be used only in cases of life or death and with protective gear. Swords with sharp edges are for display only and should not be used for martial arts training. Even blunt swords are dangerous. You agree that you won't sue the Seller, designer or maker for anything related to using this product for any reason whatsoever and you (and we) really mean it!
